Okay, I seriously have to stop blogging about the weather. Although, my husband laughs at the fact that I listen to the weather forecast 6 or 8 times in the morning while watching the "Today" show. I check the day's weather on my phone during the day, and then I insist on hearing the forecast during the 10:00 evening news, too. I am a bit of a weather junkie. I can never get enough listening to the "Five-Day Forecast". I know a lot of people like that, though. We do need to know how to dress our kids for school in the morning, right? Then we need to know how heavy of a jacket they need. Of course, we also need to dress ourselves. Long, short, layers, no layers... What we wear is entirely dependent on the weather, so fashion and weather go hand in hand. Hence (lawyer word), I blog about the weather as well!
So, today, the forecast is 88 degrees in Chicago. Short weather! My favorite shorts last year were the "Peace" shorts by sanctuary clothing. They are a cotton short and come in tons of colors. Did I mention that they are really comfortable, too? This year I came across the "Liberty Roll" shorts by sanctuary, and I think these are really cute too. These are pictured below:
The Liberty Roll are similar to the Peace, but the Liberty have an extra pocket in front, a different style belt, one button closure in front (the Peace has 2), and a different style of back pockets from the Peace. They are both very stylish, but it seems like the Liberty are more widely available than the Peace.
The Liberty Roll shorts also come in a variety of colors and are available at sites all over the web. The belt can be removed, and the Liberty Roll shorts can be worn double rolled like the mint ones on the left, rolled up once like the peach ones in the middle or unrolled and made longer like the bluish/green ones on the right. It just depends on what length you are comfortable with. I wear them double rolled or not rolled at all depending on how tight they are on me that day! I will add that they run pretty much true to size, too. Now, I just have to decide which color I want! Feel free to comment on your favorite color...
