Great Jacket, Great Price
Last month I purchased this jacket from Old Navy and have seen many similar style jackets in other stores for twice the price. It is called the Women's Long Canvas Field Jacket, and my last check of the Old Navy website showed that it is currently on sale. There is also a cropped jacket with a hood that looks really cute as well.
What I like about this jacket is that the fabric is very soft, and it has a cinched waist with a drawstring inside which gives it good style.
I've paired it with this yellow/army green ombre scarf also from Old Navy, thrown on a white t-shirt underneath, and I'm good to go run errands or drive the kids to their activities. It's perfect for the cool spring weather we have been having in Chicago. I also think it will be a great piece to wear come early fall, too.
I've purchased a couple varied types of light jackets this spring (some of which may be the subject of future posts, so you MUST stay tuned), and I think they are a great purchase for us moms since we spend so much time in and out of the car. I think the technical term for jackets like this is "layering pieces". Whatever the term, give your hoodie or fleece jacket a rest, and try a jacket like this one.
