Must Go To: Juniper Boutique

I love visiting boutiques that I have not been to before.  It is so fun to see fresh takes on style and fashion.  Through the grapevine, I heard that a new boutique has opened in Northbrook, Illinois.  This past Saturday I was in the area, and I just had to check it out.

The boutique is called Juniper Boutique (1346 Shermer Road, Northbrook, IL), and it is owned by two moms, Jennifer Lawrence and Jennifer Stamper.  It is a very pretty store inside, and they carry clothing, accessories, jewelry and gifts.  It just opened October 18, so it is very new.





I saw great fashion at Juniper, and they had all the latest trends.

They carry a lot of Splendid, a brand I love.  This jacket below by Splendid was just adorable.

Another jacket, one which I tried on, was this one.  The lining was so soft inside.  It is a great piece at a great price too.

Juniper has a great selection of scarves, which will catch your eye as soon as you walk into the store.

Didn't I tell you in my last post how hip skulls are?  Here it is, post-Halloween, and the trend is still going strong!

Also, these sweaters below are really cool if you are a football fan.  They are so much more fashionable than wearing a jersey from your husband's closet.

Along those lines, while checking out Juniper Boutique's website, I came across an article by co-owner Jennifer Stamper published in the Northbrook Star.  I just have to link to it because it is a well-written article, which I completely agree with.   As I have been saying since I started posting to this blog in May, you do not need a lot of money or even a lot of time to be a best dressed mom.  I will even go a step further and say you do not even have to be "best" dressed.   You just have to save the workout wear for the gym, stop wearing hoodies as everyday wear, get rid of the "mom jeans" and give your look a little bit of a trendy update.  I know it's not always practical to leave the sweats at home.  Trust, me, I understand, especially when you have little kids.  Or if you are like me, have bigger kids but a very trouble-seeking, clothes chewing puppy!   But, you should just give it a little effort.  You will feel much better about yourself for doing so.

I will definitely return to Juniper Boutique.  They carry all the latest trends in a very welcoming and inviting store!
