The Skull Trend is Alive and Well

In a previous post, I mentioned that there is a skull emblem trend going on.  I have seen it on jewelry, sweaters, sweatshirts, t-shirts, scarves, gloves, shoes, you name it!  It is a big trend and you will find it for women and men at every fashion-forward store you go to.  Trust me.

This trend has been around for a couple of years, but this year it is really hot.  Admittedly, at the beginning of the season, I was not on board with this trend.  But after seeing it EVERYWHERE,  I went ahead and purchased a skull sweater.  And I am not just going to wear it for Halloween, although I think I will wear it this Thursday...you will see me sporting it come December, as well.

You can find your skull wear at different price points and in different styles.  There is skull whimsy, like this Wildfox sweater, which I found at Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th at a good discounted price.  Notice that the eyes are heart shaped.

The variety continues with skulls in pink like this cozy cashmere sweater from All About Me, a boutique in Buffalo Grove, Illinois (392 West Half Day Road, Buffalo Grove, IL):

Love this cashmere skull sweater!  It is beautifully made and very fashionable.  All About Me also had this style as well:

Alice B. (127 McHenry Road, Buffalo Grove, IL) had the skull on the pocket look, also very cute and very subtle:

And if you like your skulls with a little bling, check out these skull sweaters from Payton Rose (2760 Dundee Road, Northbrook, IL).

I also found this Chaser long sleeve white tee at Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th, also for a great discounted price.

I want to mention again that as far as jewelry with skulls, Robin, from Molly B jewelry, designs the cutest ones that I have seen out there.  I featured this photo in a previous post:

One more option for those of you that are on the fence about skulls and just don't want to make an investment in this trend, H&M has cute skull scarves, very reasonably priced at $6.95.  Just check out this link (H&M Skull Scarf) or your local H&M store.

I am interested in your thoughts on the skull trend...feel free to comment below or send me an email!
