Hot Trend: Black and White

Yesterday's post was all about fall essentials at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.  Today, it's back to summer.  Hooray!  It is the middle of summer, and there is no need to mention fall for awhile, don't you agree?

A big trend for the spring and summer seasons is black and white.  Like, the stripe trend, I feel this trend can never really go out of style.  Black is always in, and white screams summer.  I was at Illusions by Jill today in Lincolnshire, IL (for more info, check out their Facebook page) and saw a lot of adorable black and white pieces that I just have to blog about.  Plus, they told me that they are getting more great clothes in early next week so I will definitely have to check back there.  Expect another post on Illusions next week.

Another trend I noticed a lot of at the Nordstrom sale yesterday was leather trim on tops and bottoms.  The leather sleeve look is really popular.  This top has little patches of leather on each sleeve.  Cute!

Of course, you can always rock the black and white trend with a scarf...

...and black shorts go with everything!
