Fashion In Motion Truck

One of my favorite parts of summer is when the ice cream truck comes riding through my neighborhood.  It reminds me of my childhood, and I think it is so cool that in the days of Costco and Sam's Club (where you can buy the same ice cream cheaper in bulk), this piece of small-town America still exists.  I think that the new trend of food trucks popping up in cities across the country is also a great concept, but I have yet to see a food truck in my town.  But, that's okay, because what we do have in my area is something even better.  What is better than food...fashion!  Yes, we have a fashion truck in town!

The truck is called the Fashion In Motion Truck, and it is the only mobile fashion boutique in the Chicagoland area.  They just had their grand opening at the end of May.  According to their website, this month the truck will be at various locations in Vernon Hills, Libertyville and Grayslake.  The website says that the idea of the Fashion in Motion Truck is to bring the latest trends in fashion to your front door.  They host private parties, fundraisers and corporate events.

I visited the Fashion In Motion Truck last weekend.  The converted step van was parked in the Bodyworks parking lot in downtown Libertyville, and I was welcomed inside.

Inside, there is lots of great trendy fashion, and a lot of novel tops and dresses that I have not seen anywhere else.  The styles are hip, and the prices are reasonable.  There are also lots of accessories from handbags to jewelry and scarves.  I saw a few necklaces that I had to hold back from buying.

One of my favorite tops on the truck was this one.  Loved the colors, and was told they may be getting this top in mint green!
