Jewelry Obsession

Early this spring I became obsessed with an amazing line of jewelry by Danelle Designs.  I discovered this line while shopping at Enaz (Enaz has 3 locations in the Chicago area).  Check out this statement necklace (photo taken at Enaz in March):

I love this necklace for its boho vibe and the way it can easily accent any top or even dress up a plain T-shirt.

As you know, I happen to have a passion for beaded jewelry.  I have already blogged previously about the Tai bracelets, which I fell in love with last spring.  I also adore tassels, which are a huge trend right now.  You will find tassels everywhere, including tops, handbags, shoes and jewelry.

Danelle Designs is owned by Elliana Bondy and Dana Hughes, two fashion forward women who live

in the Chicago North Shore suburbs.  They are both busy moms.  Dana has 3 kids (ages 16, 14 and 12), and Elliana has two kids (ages 12 and 10).   Elliana and Dana are friends who started designing jewelry over coffee together two and a half years ago.  Now you can find their jewelry at a number of area boutiques, including Enaz, Just Between Friends (Deerfield, IL), Juniper Boutique (Northbrook, IL) and Fuschia (Glen Ellyn, IL).   I met with them and viewed a number of pieces from their current collection.  One of their most recent designs is the chain tassel necklace which is pictured below:

What especially caught my eye when I viewed their current collection was the vibrant beads found in their tassel bracelets.  These bracelets come with or without a tassel and are great when stacked (the necklaces are great layered too).

The jewels they use are from all over the world.  The red, black, turquoise and yellow beads found in these bracelets (pictured above and below) are a vintage African snake bead, which is just stunning with the beads they selected.

One of the goals of Danelle Designs is to set styles and compliment current trends.  The women are seeking to keep up with trends as they evolve, and they are always busy creating and designing new jewelry so that their designs showcase the latest trends.  I found that Danelle Designs offers such a variety of colors and styles that it is very difficult to select just one piece.
