Best Dressed Moms: Get Ready for Spring at Alice B.

I have been reading the fashion magazines, shopping the malls and boutiques, watching all the fashion segments on TV, and following my favorite blogs trying to get a feel for all the Spring fashion trends that are out right now. Because we are done with winter, aren't we? I don't think any of us want to see any more subzero temps or snow. To save you the time and effort, I've been doing the Spring trend research to give you a heads up on what's hot for Spring. Keep reading because in the next several posts, I will provide all the info.

Way back in early January, Alice B. in Buffalo Grove, Illinois posted a list of Spring trends on their Facebook page. And, I have to say, all these trends are hot and you will see them everywhere. If you are local, you should definitely stop by Alice B. and see all the great fashion they have, and at reasonable prices. The owner of Alice B. summed up the motto for their store as "current fashion that makes cents". I have found some great buys at Alice B. and found that they have some of the best prices around. You can get super low prices if you catch them while they are having a sale. But as I have learned from previous mistakes, if you see something you love there, you better snag it because their merchandise turns over quickly and sizes go fast!

Here are the trends I am talking about, straight from Alice B.'s Facebook page:

1. Black and white
2. Black and white with a splash of color
3. Florals and romantic lace
4. Denim overalls and shortalls
5. Distressed boyfriend jeans
6. Chiffon tops in beautiful hues
7. Printed bottoms

I would have to say that the hugest trend that I have seen everywhere is black and white. The photos below and all the photos in this post were taken at Alice B.

This skirt below and dress on the right captures the black and white trend so well:

I loved this tank/cami. It is black and white and the floral trend together. The second biggest trend I have seen is floral and daisies on tops and bottoms:

This top below is gorgeous, and even has some gray in it. It can be worn to several different occasions and can be worn in the fall too:

Adding a splash of color to black and white is easy. One of the colors that is really big this year is yellow:

This shirtdress below is so on trend. The March 2014 issue of PeopleStyleWatch lists the shirtdress as a "spring must-have".

The two tops below show the romantic lace/crochet trend. I have seen a lot of crochet tops in stores, and will feature more pieces in future posts. In the second photo, note the fabulous black and white floral printed crop leggings by Hue. Again, the black and white and floral trend, in an adorable printed legging.
