Nail Polish Colors for Fall

I know that it's been a week since my last post.  I am sure that a lot of you, like me, had your kids home for a 4-day Columbus Day weekend.  So, you probably understand why I have had limited access to my laptop the last few days.  That, coupled with the arrival of a new puppy to our home, has made it hard for me to keep up with my blogging.  Yes, you read it right--new puppy!!!!  The pup's name is Tory, and I will post a picture of her modeling some great doggie fashion in my next post.

I have lots of future posts in the works.  I just need to get them from my head to the computer.  Now, with a puppy roaming the house, untrained and with an affinity for chewing the furniture, it will take some time for me to get those posts out there.

For starters, I will tackle the subject of hot fall colors of nail polish.  Nails are definitely a fashion accessory.  Admittedly, mine don't always look their best, but I am always game for the hottest trends in color.  I love the dark colors of fall.

While my all time favorite, is the very popular "smokin' hot" by essie (above), I saw some great dark green hues featured in the September 2013 issue of People Stylewatch magazine.  The magazine featured five colors in the green family: hunter, moss, khaki, forest and olive.  My favorite color was the Hunter by Zoya, which is pictured below.

I also found another Zoya color that I liked called "Envy," which is darker than the "Hunter".

Grays are also really in for fall.  Check out this color "Claudine" by Zoya.  It is gray with a hint of green and a metallic shimmer to it.

I also liked "Mind your Mittens" by essie, a grayish green colored polish.

If you are really looking for a fun shade, try "For the Twill of It" by essie.  I had it for a mani/pedi and loved it.  The essie website calls it a "rich medium brown with reflective green shimmer".  I don't have a picture of it, but here is a link to it on the essie website.

I know that the pictures I posted above are hard to see.  It helps to see the polishes in person so check these colors out at your local salon or Ulta store.
