Wild About Wedges

The wedge sandal is nothing new to the fashion scene, but I just thought I'd post about this must-have shoe style for summer.  Wedges come in all shapes, styles and colors.  My two favorites for a summer wedge heel are cork and rattan.

I've noted before that TOMS has great wedge sandals, but here are a few other options to consider:

This is a really cute simple wedge that I saw at The Footloose Store in Deerfield, Illinois.  They are also on Facebook.

Footloose is a great shoe store located in downtown Deerfield with great shoe styles and reasonably priced clothes too.  This shoe is by Lucky Brand.  It is very versatile.

Some other really great options are at Stilettos in Buffalo Grove, Illinois.  You can purchase shoes online at their website, and they are on Facebook too.  What I like about Stilettos is their great selection.  They have shoes that are unique and styles you don't see at every department store.  They always have shoes on sale, and their prices are reasonable too.

I like the white crochet style wedge, and I am obsessed with the funky colorful wedge by Chinese Laundry.   I know not everyone is able to wear it, and at first, I was weary.    However, this show grows on you, and I think that it would be great for early fall.

If you are more practical, and I get it, go for a black.  These are all great styles:

One more style I have to mention, is the Miz Mooz Kenya.  It is a great cork wedge, and I saw it featured in the July 2013 issue of REDBOOK Magazine.  I don't have a picture of it, but you can check the link.

So, hurry up, get those wedges because sandal season is a fleeting thing...
