A Successful Launch!

Best Dressed Moms is officially launched!

The big party took place yesterday at the Hot Mama store in Deer Park Center, Illinois.  It was a Sunday night filled with friends, fashion and fun.   Old friends and new friends of mine all came together over wine, cheese and sweets to shop for new clothes and accessories.  Fashion and my blog were the main topics of discussion.  Yes,  I am embellishing (a lot)!  To be truthful, kids, summer camp and our perpetual desire to shed our baby weight (even though many of us have a youngest child that is a tween), were the talk of the evening.  But shopping was the activity of the night!

Here's some great memories from last night:

We chatted...

WE SHOPPED!

Needless to say, my friends discovered why I love Hot Mama and how great their clothes fit.  I saw my friends try on some great fashions, and I even convinced some to try new styles and "go outside of their box."  And that is precisely why I love to blog.  It is important for us moms to feel comfortable with our clothing choices while the same time keep up with the latest fashion.

Sometimes, fashion is a little too forward for us, and we are not ready to jump on the bandwagon.  That's okay.  There is so much you can do with the latest trends if you first, know what they are. Second, know where to find them.  And third, find a great fit that makes you feel good.  I love helping people do all 3.

A lot of times, it takes getting used to a trend or seeing it in a style that screams to you that helps you get out of your box.  Sometimes, it just takes a friend telling you that you look good.  That's what people found yesterday: lots of friends helping each other find clothes that look and fit good.  I love blogging because I get to share with my friends, old and new, where they can find the latest trends.  And if you need that friend to let you know whether or not you look good in something, I am here to answer comments or respond through email.  Just send me a picture (and if you are like me, it would be from the neck down, of course!)
