I did not believe it when I first encountered some camouflage pieces in stores. I had thought that the trend went out about three years ago. But it is back, apparently. That's not a bad thing. I like camo. It's youthful, casual, goes great with any color, and can be worn summer or winter. In fact, I read somewhere that the camo trend will be big come this fall, too.
There were two items that drew me back into this camo trend. One was a super cute tank I saw at Alice B. in Buffalo Grove, Illinois for a very reasonable price. They had it in green camo with a lace back, and they had one in blue camo with an open back. Last week when I stopped in at Alice B., I only saw the blue one. I have to say this blue camo tank looks awesome with blue denim!
The other item is a cute camo skirt by sanctuary that Hot Mama posted on Facebook last week. In the picture, it is paired with the Paige "Kadie" button down shirt, which I had tried on previously, and really liked. It's a good camo combo on the Hot Mama website.
Hot Mama also has some other cute camo pieces, like a great jacket by Beulah, and a green camo tank, which is reasonably priced at $24.
Then, of course, there's Nordstrom, which has a short KUT from the Kloth camo jacket. As you may remember, I have a Kut denim jacket, and I think it is a great piece. This camo jacket is great for now or the fall. It looked pretty short, though, so you may consider ordering a size up.
Let's not forget the style bloggers. I was also lured into the camo trend by Shannon Hearts' blog. She paired a jacket with a little dress, which is a great idea to dress the camo up a bit. Also, Cupcakes and Cashmere showed a really stylish camo jacket by the Gap.
Wow! And that is just the tip of the iceberg with the camo trend. If you see more of it out there, and I am sure you will, let me know!
